Brew Guide
A great cup starts long before the first sip. The blend you choose, the way you brew it and the care you bring all shape what ends up in your cup. Pick your blend, pick your brew, and we will give you the recipe our roasters use.
1. Select your blend
2. Select your brew
The golden rules
Days. Enjoy your coffee within four weeks of the roast date.
Days. Rest espresso beans after roasting before you brew.
Fresh, filtered water makes up more than 98% of your cup.
Store airtight, away from light, at room temperature. Never in the fridge.
Which blend for which brew?
| Blend | Roast | Tasting notes | Best with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maka | Medium-dark | Milk chocolate, roasted macadamia, buttery toffee | Espresso, plunger, stove top |
| Ukarai | Light-medium | Vanilla, caramel, stone fruit, berries | Espresso, plunger, pour over |
| Wadhlu | Dark | Dark chocolate, molasses, burnt orange, hazelnut | Espresso, plunger, stove top |
| Kutha | Decaf, washed | Brown toffee, cinnamon, citrus, caramel | Espresso, plunger, pour over |
| Waangara | Medium | Butterscotch, roasted nuts, malt, blackcurrant | Plunger, stove top, espresso |
Whole beans keep every option open. Grind just before brewing: fine for espresso, fine to medium for stove top, medium for pour over, and medium-coarse for plunger.
Still deciding? Start with the blend named for what you love most: fire, deadly, Country, water or tomorrow. There is no wrong door.
