Four Bronze Medals at the 2026 Golden Bean Australasian Championships
In its first competition, Marnka & Co. took home four Bronze Medals, with three of its five blends recognised. Maka was awarded in Espresso (Short Black) and Milk-based (Latte), Ukarai in Milk-based (Latte), and Wadhlu in Super Automatic (Espresso).

Marnka & Co. is a female-led, 100% Indigenous Australian-owned and operated specialty coffee brand, founded in 2025 by Managing Director Christine Sindely, a proud Arabana woman. Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, with a deep cultural connection to Arabana Country and Kati Thanda/Lake Eyre in far north South Australia, the brand takes its name from the Arabana word for abundance.
Its five specialty blends, Maka (fire), Ukarai (deadly, something seriously good), Wadhlu (Country), Kutha (water, rain) and Waangara (tomorrow), are each named in the Arabana language and roasted in Naarm/Melbourne by a third-generation Italian-Australian roasting family.
